What's New in 24Trots: Guided Onboarding Tours, Flexible Series Dates, and Active Status Tracking

New Admins get step-by-step guided onboarding tours with a sidebar checklist to track progress. This update also adds custom date ranges for series assignments and an active/inactive toggle for person records.

24Trots Release Notes — June 22, 2026 Release date: June 22, 2026 Update type: Minor version update Applies to: All user roles (Admin, Manager, Member, Participant) · All person types (Staff, Volunteer, Participant, Guardian) Estimated read time: 2 minutes Summary This week introduced guided onboarding tours to help new Admins set up their organization step by step, along with custom date ranges for series assignments, active status tracking for person records, and a handful of usability improvements across the app.

What's New 🧭 Guided Onboarding Tours New Admins are now walked through the key setup steps — adding a horse, Staff member, Volunteer, Guardian, and Participant — with in-app guided tours. Each tour highlights the relevant fields, explains what to fill in, and advances automatically as you complete each step. A checklist in the sidebar tracks overall progress so you always know where you left off. Tours can be paused or disabled from the sidebar at any time. Use it when: You're setting up your organization for the first time and want a guided walkthrough instead of figuring things out from scratch. 📅 Custom Date Ranges for Series Assignments When adding a Staff member or Volunteer to a recurring series, Admins and Managers can now set a custom start and end date for their involvement — without affecting other roster members. The ⋮ menu on each roster row shows a dot indicator when custom dates or hours are active, so it's easy to see at a glance who has a modified schedule. Use it when: A Volunteer is joining a series mid-season, or wrapping up before the series ends, and you only want them on the roster for their actual dates. ✅ Active Status and End Dates for Person Records Person records now support an active/inactive toggle. Setting someone inactive prompts you to confirm and optionally set an end date. Admins and Managers can also filter the people list by active status to keep the working roster focused. Use it when: A Staff member leaves at the end of the season and you want to mark them inactive without deleting their history. Improvements • Files & Attachments on all person pages: The attachments section is now available on Staff, Volunteer, Guardian, and Participant detail pages.

• "Other / Special Notes" tack field: Horses with Western or Dressage disciplines now have a free-text tack notes field for anything that doesn't fit the standard fields.

• Manager promotion alert: Admins see a dashboard alert when a Staff member has not yet been promoted to Manager user role, with a direct link to update their role.

• Page identity banners: Session and series detail pages now display a colored banner identifying the page type so it's easier to orient yourself when navigating between records.

• Roster ⋮ menu: Series roster action icons are now consolidated into a single ⋮ dropdown menu, reducing visual clutter on the page.

• Trial banner collapse: The free trial subscription banner can now be collapsed or dismissed — it remembers your preference across sessions.

• Scroll to top on navigation: The app now scrolls to the top of the page every time you navigate to a new page.

• Auto-redirect after session creation: Creating a new session or series now takes you directly to its detail page instead of back to the list.

• Auto-approve holidays for Admins: Holiday requests submitted by Admins are approved automatically without requiring a separate approval step.

Fixes • Fixed custom date picker popovers closing unexpectedly when interacting with nested elements.

• Fixed tour callout positioning on mobile when the on-screen keyboard was open.

• Fixed an issue where completing a tour would fail if the tour ID was not stored as an array.
