What's New in 24Trots: Personal Holidays, Smarter Signups, and a Better Calendar

Staff and Volunteers can now submit personal holiday requests with a live session-impact preview. This update also adds profile matching at signup, a Preferred Name field, and a faster calendar.

What's New 🏖️ Personal Holidays Staff and Volunteers can now submit personal holiday requests directly in the app. Before submitting, you'll see a preview of the upcoming sessions you're scheduled for during that period — including Guardian assignments — so everyone goes in with full context. Admins can approve or deny requests from the same view. Use it when: A Volunteer needs to flag vacation time and wants to see how it affects their upcoming schedule before submitting. 🔗 Person Profile Matching at Signup When someone signs up using an invite link, the app now checks whether a person record already exists for them. If it does, their profile is pre-populated with the information already on file, reducing double-entry and keeping your records clean. Use it when: A new Staff member or Volunteer signs up and already has a record in your system from a previous season. 🏷️ Preferred Name "Display Name" has been renamed to "Preferred Name" across all person records. When set, it appears as "First (Preferred) Last" everywhere in the app — on rosters, session cards, and detail pages. Use it when: A Participant goes by a nickname and you want it reflected consistently across the roster. Improvements • Sessions "All" tab: The sessions list now opens on an "All" tab, giving you a single view across session types without switching filters.

• Calendar go-to-date picker: Jump to any date directly from the calendar toolbar instead of clicking forward one day at a time.

• Sliding date header: The calendar's date column header now scrolls in sync with the agenda so you always know what day you're looking at.

• Session history pagination: Past sessions on person and horse detail pages now load 5 at a time, keeping pages fast for long-term members.

• Dashboard agenda pagination: The upcoming sessions list loads progressively so the dashboard stays snappy even with a full schedule.

• Collapsible reminders and cancellations: Session reminder and cancellation details are now tucked into a collapsible section, reducing visual clutter on the session detail page.

• Collapsible session history: Session history on person and horse detail pages is now collapsed by default.

• Participant Goals: "Support Needs" has been renamed to "Participant Goals" to better reflect how the field is used.

• Tack fields on assignments: Tack data can now be recorded directly on Participant-horse assignment cards.

• Volunteer self-removal: Admins can now enable a setting that allows Volunteers to remove themselves from sessions.

• Notes line breaks preserved: Line breaks written into notes and text fields now display correctly instead of collapsing into a single line.

• Feedback inbox tabs: The feedback inbox now separates unread and read items into distinct tabs.

Fixes • Fixed a crash in the holiday approval UI caused by a React hook ordering issue.

• Fixed the three-day calendar view cutting off and only showing two days.

• Fixed optional fields sections defaulting to open in widget panels.
